Printing at Walgreens

Having your photos printed at Walgreens can be affordable and convenient, with pleasing results. However, the quality can vary based on factors such as the age of the equipment and which technician is working in the lab that day.

Most Walgreens stores offer one-hour developing, printing and enlargements (5×7 and 8×10) from 35mm color film, APS negatives, and disposable cameras. The cost to process a 24-exposure roll and print one set of 4×6 pictures starts at around $10; a second set of prints is a few dollars more. Most locations can also make prints and enlargements from slides.

Walgreen’s often offers specials on printing or enlargements, so watch the weekly circular on Sundays, or search for coupon codes online. Or, sign up for their email list.

There is even a Facebook application, or “app,” for printing Facebook photos at Walgreens. Intended for the casual consumer, the app allows for the upload and printing of snapshots or photo collages. Then, the prints can be picked up at your local Walgreen’s store.

Keep in mind that Walgreen’s is bound by law to ensure that you hold the copyright to the photos you wish to print, so if you’re an especially good photographer be prepared to have your studio or professional info handy.
